How often you choose to groom your pet is always a personal preference, however, in order to be considered on a maintenece schedule you should be getting your pet groomed every 8 weeks or less.
Grooming cost is based upon your pets coat type, condition, and how much time it takes to groom your pet as well as a travel fee per your location.
The hourly rates range from $60-90.

Small dogs: 1-1.5 hours
Medium dogs: 1.5-2 hours
Large dogs: 2-4 hours
Cats: 1-2 hours
These are only estimates based on the average length of groom time for a maintained and well mannered pet.
Variables such as the coat length, condition, style chosen, and animal's temperament will effect how long it will take to groom your pet.
Since I service my clients in their homes all over greater San Diego County, there is an additional fee to cover gas costs and vehicle maintenance.
This ranges anywhere from 10-60 dollars depending on your distance from area code 92065 where I am based.
As I offer a specialized approach to grooming for senior and nervous pets, I have quite the busy schedule.
It can take as long as 2 weeks or more to get an appointment, so I ask all my clients to please plan ahead, especially around holidays or poor weather.
It is also a good idea to stick to a rotating schedule of 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 weeks maximum to ensure your pet stays well maintained.
